Traditional Internet Marketing Strategy
Internet Marketers have earned a reputation of being spammy, aggressive and act like used car salesmen. None of these traits are positive. Most marketers try to get you to purchase products that they are promoting. If you purchase they get a commissions. As a result they spend time marketing product after product after product to get you to buy so they can make money. In short they use you.
My Internet Marketing Strategy
With my website I have decided to utilize a tactic contrary to what most internet marketers use. Instead with my website my tactic is to provide valuable information and adopt a “Pay What You Want” strategy. All the information on my website is basically free. If you find that the information is valuable to you, then you have the OPTION of paying what you think the material is worth to you. You do not have to pay if you do not want to.
Helping Others
There have been many people that have helped me to get where I am today. You will find that this is true in your life also. Nobody succeeds in life by themselves. There will always be people that will help you out at some point in your life. The goal of my blog is to provide valuable content on a regular basis. I want my content to provide value to all of my readers.
Pay What You Want Strategy
Over the next couple of months I will be putting together some guides on topics like YouTube Marketing, Creating Product Review Videos, How to Get Started with Affiliate Marketing and other topics. Instead of selling these guides I will make them available on my website for free. These guides will be much more involved than a new article you would read on my website. These guides may involve watching multiple videos or reading multi-page reports or a combination. They will be available on a separate page. These reports will not be a post like my monthly income reports though I will create a post to announce a new guide.
Feel free to access any or all of the guides that I create and post on my website. After you have read through the report and/or watched all the videos, you can decide if the content is valuable to you or not. Not everyone will want to implement the strategy that I outline in my guides. If you do decide to utilize the information in the guide then I will have a button where you can click to pay what you think the guide has been worth to you. Payment is optional. You do not have to pay to access the content in the guide.
My website will be my way of sharing what I have learned with Internet Marketing. I hope that you find my new “unorthodox” strategy to be one that you find appealing. I want my readers to be able to visit my website and learn something without feeling like they are being used as an ATM to make money for the website owner.

Wow! How refreshing!! I can’t wait to start reading about what’s been working for you and what you’re having success with. Personally, I am most curious if you’ve had success on youtube, and if so what strategy you use there. Also, I would be very interested in what’s working for you to get things ranked (whether a squidoo page, website or youtube video).

I am working on a project right now that shows you how to easily create product review videos using just Microsoft Powerpoint. Once created then you can put them out on YouTube and other video sharing sites.
Behind this project another one that I have in my queue tells you the best way to setup your channel on YouTube and best way I have found to take advantage of marketing on YouTube.

I, for one find your site really helpful and it is so rare for a newbie to find simple, straight forward information that you can understand and rely on. I am vey much looking forward to your guides and I just started learning about video marketing, so that guide would be particularly useful to me.
I don’t mind paying for solid information but most of the marketers out there will sell you anything and every thing for a commission and they bombard you with new offers every day. I know many, if not most marketers don’t even bother going through the products they push/review.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for the very useful information you provide and helping people out of the IM maze.

Thanks for the feedback. My unorthodox strategy is a breath of fresh air. The good news is that when I produce something you get an opportunity to read through it and then decide if it is worth paying anything for it. No fancy sales pages where you really don’t understand what it is that you are buying. You get material first and then decide what it is worth to you if anything.
